Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
• Conduct plumbing and refrigeration work as needed for system upgrades or repairs, including ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all service activities.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for each project completed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of HVAC design principles.
• Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC system installation and property maintenance.
• Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration systems, plumbing, boilers, and appliance repair.
• Hands-on experience with field service operations including equipment repair and maintenance.
• Ability to operate specialized tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving vehicles preferred.
• Certifications in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), ammonia refrigeration or boiler operation are advantageous.
