Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Conduct plumbing and refrigeration work as needed for system upgrades or repairs, including ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all service activities.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for each project completed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of HVAC design principles.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC system installation and property maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration systems, plumbing, boilers, and appliance repair.
- Hands-on experience with field service operations including equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ability to operate specialized tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving
vehicles preferred. - Certifications in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), ammonia refrigeration or boiler operation are advantageous.
