Machine Helper - Utility
Schedules Available:
- Day Crew – 6am-6pm 2/2/3 schedule (2 on, 3 off, 2on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off)
- Night Crew – 6pm-6am 2/2/3 schedule (2 on, 3 off, 2on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off) ($2 per hour shift differential for those working nights)
JOB SUMMARY
Machine Helpers assist the Operators and co-workers as needed to ensure production timelines and quality expectations are met. May at times assist Operators with the set-up of machinery. Has or obtains knowledge of all types of product/paper that runs on ProCon machines. Machine Helpers follow all safety procedures, understands all safety equipment and adheres to the company safety policies and procedures. Machine Helpers maintain the assigned equipment to include general maintenance and cleaning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Opens rolls and/or properly stages product for production.
2. Responsible for wrapping and/or staging finished product to designated area(s).
3. Machine Helpers must be able to understand and complete the helper checklist(s).
4. Must be able to competently complete required paperwork.
5. Machine Helpers must be able to read and understand internal (ProCon) job tickets.
6. Machine Helpers maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows the prescribed safety regulations.
7. Machine Helpers may assist the Operator with machine set up.
8.Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to meet production deadlines.
9.Assists Operator with general maintenance duties on machines as required.
Other Functions
1. Uses of different type of tools and equipment: pallet jacks, measuring devices, various hand tools, auto-stretch wrap machine, and compactors.
2. Machine Helpers must be able to work independently.
3. Daily contact with co-workers, management, third party vendors and customers requiring courtesy, discretion and sound judgment. Understands they are a representative of the employer.
4. Machine Helpers will perform all other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications
Machine Helpers should have a background in manufacturing, packaging, and quality control. Proficiency in using hand tools, assembly line work, and basic math skills are required.

Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
