Key Job Elements
- Welcome visitors as soon as they arrive and direct them to the appropriate person or office;
- Handle incoming phone calls, screen them, and forward them as necessary;
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials;
- Offer basic and accurate information in-person, via phone, or email;
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries;
- Follow safety procedures and control access via the reception desk;
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing;
- Perform other administrative duties supporting the corporate services team, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Detail oriented and thorough in completing work tasks;
- Honest and ethical;
- Reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations;
- Strong ability to provide excellent customer service;
- Effective verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to interact well with clients, visitors, and staff;
- Ability to utilize computer and basic Microsoft office programs;
- Confidential and organized with the ability to keep records up to date;
- Proficiency in using office equipment and software;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strength – Must be able to lift 40 lbs;
- Motion – The position is primarily in an office setting requiring sitting at the desk the majority of the day;
- Vision/Hearing Requirements – May spend long periods of time in front of computer screen;
- Work Environment- Will spend the majority of time in office environment, although exposed occasionally to plant facilities requiring exposure to hot and cold environments along with noise exposure;
- Emotional Demands – Must have good communications skills;
- Safety – Not a safety sensitive position but does requires the use of PPE when in a production environment.
