What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Model Provider / Child Foster Care position at Progress Incorporated?
Progress Inc. is a provider agency that has served adults with intellectual disabilities and seniors in Davidson and surrounding counties since 1971. We provide day, residential and employment support services to individuals we serve through DDA (TN Dept. of Disability and Aging), ECF Choices and Choices (Insurance Companies / TN Care) funded programs.
Recently, Progress Inc. has established a Children's Service Foster Program in conjunction with Dept. of Children Services (DCS). We are seeking Foster Parents / Family Model Providers that own or rent their home in the middle-TN area that have the time and extra space to support Intellectual / Developmental (I/D) disabled children in a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment.
- Compensation is a daily rate. This rate is based on the level of subsequent supervision / care that the individual(s) require.

General Duties:
- Support the child's emotional, behavioral, medical and social development while helping them achieve permanent and independent goals.
- Consider the child being supported in your home as an equal member of the home. No Exceptions
- Allow individual(s) free use of common living areas and amenities in the home
- Notify Progress management of any significant event effecting the child's well-being or provider's ability to provide services
- Maintain and submit all required records and daily documentation
Requirements:
- Must have a stable home environment
- Must have the skills to work effectively with youth who have experienced trauma, behavioral challenges, and / or emotional difficulties.
- Any other adults living in the home must pass a criminal background check.
- Provider must have a valid DL, insurance (vehicle and homeowners / renter's) and reliable transportation.
- Provider must complete mandatory trainings.
- Must have a high school diploma.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $220.00 - $325.00 per day
