ProGreen Turf & Landscape is seeking a Design and Sales Leader to oversee company-wide sales for maintenance, enhancement, installation, irrigation, turf care, and design/build services.
This role will lead the sales process, develop the sales team, protect profit margins, and ensure smooth handoffs from sales to operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company sales plan and pipeline.
- Set sales goals and track performance.
- Coach and develop sales team members.
- Review proposals for accuracy, scope, pricing, and margin.
- Improve lead response and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records.
- Lead weekly sales meetings and pipeline reviews.
- Ensure complete handoffs from sales to operations.
- Partner with operations and finance to improve profitability.
- Report sales results, risks, and forecasts to the President.
Qualifications:
- Experience in landscape design, landscaping, or construction sales
- Strong knowledge of plants, grading, drainage, irrigation, or hardscapes
- Ability to read and create landscape designs (CAD experience a plus)
- Proven experience managing a sales pipeline and closing business.
- Strong understanding of proposals, estimating, pricing, and gross margin.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to coach, organize, and hold a sales team accountable.
- Strong judgment and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using CRM, estimating, and business-management software.
- Experience with LMN or similar software is a plus.
