Job Description: GCP Data Architect
Duration: Long term contract
Location: Hybrid to Richardson, TX/Woonsocket, RI/Scottsdale, AZ
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Architect to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions across our cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of GCP data services, strong data engineering and architecture background, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. This is a 100% remote role within the United States.
Required Qualifications
10 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or cloud architecture.
- Strong hands-on expertise with GCP data services:
- BigQuery
- Dataflow / Apache Beam
- Pub/Sub
- Cloud Storage
- Dataproc / Spark
- Cloud Composer / Airflow
- Strong SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT design skills.
- Experience with Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
- Understanding of distributed systems, data warehousing, and streaming architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Terraform, Cloud Build, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- GCP Professional Data Engineer or Cloud Architect certification.
- Experience with machine learning pipelines or Vertex AI.
- Background working in Agile environments.
- Experience in high-growth, data-driven organizations.
- Knowledge of additional cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
