General Cleaner

Now Hiring: Part-Time Lead Cleaner This position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with 6.75 hours per evening. The hourly pay is $18.00, and the work hours are 4:30 PM to 11:15 PM.

Job duties include washing and sanitizing machine parts, sweeping and wet mopping the front store area, cleaning two small restrooms, and wiping down the glass doors of the coolers.

Employees must be comfortable wearing knee-high waterproof boots, a plastic apron, and gloves, which are provided by the company. Training will be provided, and candidates must be able to follow instructions, pay close attention to detail, and perform tasks accurately. English-speaking candidates are preferred.

General Cleaners maintain the cleanliness of their designated buildings/areas by performing various cleaning duties. Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned by the supervisor/manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of assigned buildings and job sites to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
• Lead and support a team of cleaning staff by providing guidance, direction, and daily supervision.
• Assign work tasks based on operational needs, customer requirements, and special projects.
• Order, distribute, and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
• Provide employees with required uniforms, documents, and work-related supplies.
• Monitor employee performance and provide on-site coaching and training to ensure high-quality service.
• Foster a safe, professional, and respectful work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Report incidents, safety concerns, policy violations, or other important matters to the District Manager and Human Resources.
• Address customer concerns or service issues promptly, preferably the same day or shift, and keep District Management informed of any ongoing situations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management or based on customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
• Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be available to work on-call assignments as needed.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and proper cleaning procedures is an asset but not required.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift and frequently bend, reach, stretch, and perform repetitive movements in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
