The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of materials within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. This role ensures inventory integrity, supports production and delivery schedules, and maintains a safe and organized work environment.
Job Description/Expectations:
- Receiving & Inspection: Unload incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders; inspect materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Inventory Management: Accurately record inventory transactions in the warehouse management system (WMS); perform cycle counts and assist with audits.
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment; stage materials for production and prepare orders for shipment.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and label products according to customer or internal requirements; ensure timely and accurate shipping of goods.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of receipts, transfers, and shipments; comply with company policies and safety standards.
- Housekeeping & Safety: Keep warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards; follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage and equipment checks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 1–3 years of warehouse or material handling experience.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment (certification preferred).
- Basic computer skills; experience with WMS or ERP systems a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of industrial materials (steel, electrical components, coatings).
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of team.
- Exposure to certain contaminants, at times.
- Exposure to loud noise levels, at times.
- Duties performed in office, and production shop, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment when in designated areas.
- Standard office and warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
- Occasional use of various hand tools and power tools.
- Stand, bend, sit, stoop, crawl, squat, kneel, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., and walk for 8-10 hours per day.
- Regularly required to hear and talk.
- Must have the ability to see close up.
- Be able to withstand exposure to Production Environment.
- Be able to tolerate high noise levels with the protection of earplugs.
