Key Responsibilities
- Performing general and critical care respiratory procedures, including mechanical ventilation and airway management.
- Obtaining and analyzing blood gases, documenting procedures, and managing equipment.
- Communicating effectively with healthcare team members, providing reports, and making treatment recommendations.
- Adhering to infection control standards and maintaining equipment hygiene.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
- Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program or equivalent experience/diploma.
- Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Current BLS certification; additional certifications like NRP, PALS, ACLS as required.
- Ability to treat patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
- This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor or manager.
- Work involves night shifts in a hospital setting.
