New Graduate Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) Residency

Role Overview: The RN Resident is a newly licensed registered nurse participating in a comprehensive 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support a smooth transition into professional practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized, patient- and family-centered care using evidence-based practices, clinical standards, and critical thinking.
• Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams, ensuring safe, high-quality care and timely documentation.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance to promote best practices.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a skilled future nursing workforce.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, competency assessments, and protocol development.
• Support resource management and comply with organizational policies and safety standards.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid RN license and BLS certification.
• Less than one year of RN experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in using technology and basic computer applications, with Epic and 3M experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, respond to emergencies, and manage time effectively.
