Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for employees. This role ensures compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local payroll regulations while maintaining confidentiality of employee payroll information.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review and verify employee timekeeping records, earnings, and deductions.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the payroll system.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and applicable deductions.
- Ensure compliance withfederal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data and payroll changes.
- Process payroll adjustments such as corrections, retro pay, and off-cycle payments when required.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll procedures.
- Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end payroll activities.
- Maintain payroll documentation and records in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of payroll processing experience.
- Experience with payroll software or HRIS systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Pay: $68,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
