This individual will play a critical role in supporting attorneys with case management, court calendaring, and legal document preparation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.The Paralegal will be responsible for managing court deadlines, preparing and filing legal documents, maintaining case files, and assisting attorneys throughout the litigation process. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines effectively.Paralegal ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain court calendars, including tracking deadlines, hearings, and case milestonesPrepare, format, and assemble legal documents, pleadings, discovery, and correspondence for attorney review and court filingsAssist attorneys with case preparation, including organizing exhibits, discovery materials, and case filesFile legal documents with state and federal courts, including electronic filings when applicableMaintain and organize physical and electronic case files within document management systems such as ClioDraft and update legal templates, pleadings, and other case-related documentsCoordinate document flow between attorneys, clients, and court personnelReview incoming mail and legal correspondence, scan and upload documents, and distribute to appropriate team membersPerform data entry and maintain accurate case records and documentationCommunicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as neededEnsure confidentiality and compliance with firm privacy protocolsParalegal Qualifications3 years of experience working as a Paralegal or in a legal support role within a law firmExperience with court calendaring and tracking litigation deadlinesFamiliarity with state and federal court filing procedures (e-filing preferred)Paralegal certificate or ABA-approved paralegal program (preferred but not required)Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and litigation processesProficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; experience with Clio or similar legal software is a plusExceptional organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of discretion and ability to handle confidential informationApply with Professional Search Group OC today!
