- This is a WEEKEND SHIFT position*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: includes the following, as well as other duties that may be assigned.
- Surface grind parts on manual and/or CNC grinding machines
- Polish and deburr parts according to finish requirements
- Responsible for the cleanliness, organization and general upkeep of the work area
- Responsible for the quality manufacture of parts using approved documentation and procedures within tolerances set forth by the engineer, and to report deficiencies
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all work to the highest quality
- Complete daily order processing as assigned
- Speak effectively to customers or employees of organization
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Able to use and read basic measuring devices (measuring tape, calipers, etc.)
- Demonstrate an ability to learn and recognize differences between products
- Capable of performing a variety of tasks under general supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude as required in accomplishing the task
- Ability to setup and run surface grinder; hold high accuracy flatness and finish requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years’ experience in an CNC grinder role
- Knowledge of general quality inspection procedures
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a manufacturing environment
