Job Purpose:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining and tracking all inbound and outbound carriers that enter through the dock. This position will update and track all movement through the company WMS.

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining and tracking all inbound and outbound carriers that enter through the dock. This position will update and track all movement through the company WMS.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Attends daily team meetings
- Processes all inbound and outbound orders
- Checks in Drivers
- Completes all inbound and outbound paperwork
- Contacts all carriers and directs on door status
- Conducts follow up on all missed loads
- Logs all daily dead stack trailers
- Reviews reporting for production risks
- Assists dock with creating bill of landing for inbound and outbound loads
- Checks all load tendering
- Adjusts ship list based on product needs or shortages
- Schedules carrier appointments
- Maintains WMS for departmental purposes
- Schedule correct number of drivers, unloaders based on needs of business
- Must be available for weekend work
- Working knowledge and experience with warehouse shipping and receiving processes.
- Working knowledge or certification in Continuous Improvement Methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience communicating shipping and receiving information to customers.
- Experience working with a temporary workforce.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Computer literacy for usage of WMS, e-mail, MS Office applications, intranet, and file management and integration.
- Must speak and write English - bilingual in Spanish a plus
- Able to work flexible hours, minimal travel
