The Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor provides clinical triage, crisis assessment, and behavioral health support for members contacting the Clinical Triage Line. Counselors ensure safe, effective, and timely care by identifying clinical needs, assessing risk, providing de-escalation, and coordinating warm handoffs to appropriate services. As a core part of the Clinical Triage Team, counselors ensure each member receives trauma-informed, clinically sound, and least-restrictive support through accurate triage, documentation, and collaboration with internal teams.

Schedule: Time windows are open, 4, 8, 12-hour shift times available: Part-time positions available.

Education/License Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field required.
- Active licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, or equivalent) required
The duties and responsibilities shall include:
- Receive inbound calls and establish rapport using therapeutic engagement and approved clinical protocols.
- Conduct behavioral health screenings and crisis assessments to determine risk level, urgency, and appropriate intervention.
- Provide de-escalation, emotional support, brief intervention, and safety planning in alignment with
- Clinical Triage Handbook standards.
- Complete accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Client Record and call management systems.
- Utilize conferencing tools effectively to coordinate real-time interventions with internal teams.
- Escalate high-risk, unclear, or emergent situations to leadership immediately following safety protocols.
- Maintain familiarity with program policies, procedures, evidence-based practices, and clinical expectations.
- Adhere to all privacy, confidentiality, and compliance requirements (HIPAA and agency standards).
- Collaborate professionally across departments using Shift Chat, Direct Messages, and required communication platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with demonstrated empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy in documentation and caller engagement.
- Comfortable working in a structured, fast-paced, and technology-driven environment.
- Experience in call center, crisis response, healthcare, or behavioral health intake preferred.
