Position Summary
The People Operations Manager is responsible for building and managing the core people processes that support hiring, onboarding, employee development, and day-to-day HR operations across all five locations. This role will serve as a hands-on, operational HR leader, partnering closely with company leadership to ensure the right people are hired, onboarded effectively, and developed to perform at a high level. The Human Resources Manager balances tactical execution with continuous improvement, bringing structure to recruiting, onboarding, and role proficiency while supporting a strong, performance-oriented culture.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is advantageous.

- 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in construction, contracting, or a multi-site environment.

- Strong experience with recruiting and onboarding hourly and professional roles.

- Practical knowledge of employee relations and HR compliance.

- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for office, project, and operational roles across all locations.
- Partner with SSC leaders to understand role requirements, skill needs, and hiring volume.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions, interview guides, and selection tools.
- Coordinate interviews, candidate communication, offers, and hiring decisions.
- Ensure consistent and legally compliant hiring practices.
Onboarding & New Hire Experience
- Own and continuously improve the onboarding process for all employees.
- Coordinate pre-hire and first-day readiness including paperwork, systems access, and introductions.
- Partner with managers to clearly communicate performance expectations and responsibilities.
- Track onboarding completion and early-stage performance indicators.
Role Proficiency & Employee Development
- Partner with leaders to clarify role expectations, competencies, and proficiency milestones.
- Support training initiatives that improve consistency, efficiency, and performance.
- Assist managers with coaching tools and development planning for employees.
- Help establish career progression pathways where applicable.
HR Operations & Employee Support
- Serve as primary HR point of contact for employee questions and guidance.
- Support employee relations, performance conversations, and policy interpretation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Culture & People Practices
- Reinforce a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration.
- Support performance management and feedback processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve engagement, retention, and communication.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and company leadership.

Salary range is between $100 - $130K, depending on experience and or demonstrated competencies.
