Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, windows, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely following established chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risk.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance purposes.
• Maintain facilities by performing custodial duties including trash removal, restocking supplies, and minor repairs to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Operate cleaning machinery efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage.
• Support general maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting in residential or commercial settings as required.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries politely and ensuring the environment remains clean, safe, and inviting for all visitors.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential environments is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, sanitation procedures, and the operation of cleaning equipment like floor buffers and vacuums.
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures to ensure safe use of cleaning products.
• Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices.
• Strong understanding of safety protocol adherence in cleaning operations to prevent hazards and ensure compliance with health standards.
• Customer service skills that enable friendly communication with staff and visitors while maintaining a professional demeanor.
