We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software Epicor Financials
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and review general ledger accounts for accuracy in accordance, applicable governmental accounting standards
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis to support management decision-making
- Assist with tax filings
- Assist with audit preparations by maintaining organized records and supporting documentation in compliance
- Support budgeting, financial analysis, and account analysis activities to optimize financial performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in corporate accounting environments with a focus on bookkeeping or financial management
- Strong knowledge & compliance standards, and technical accounting concepts
- Proficiency with multiple accounting software platforms or similar tools
- Skilled in account reconciliation, balance sheet review, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping methods
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail
- Ability to analyze financial data critically while demonstrating strong math skills and financial acumen
- Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Pay will be based on experience
