Description
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing Human Resources support to managers and employees at our customer site in Brookville, Ohio. This position will assist with established training programs that enhance employee skills and contribute to their career advancement; coordinate various HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding and compliance with labor regulations. This role is pivotal in promoting a skilled workforce in our rapidly evolving manufacturing sector, and will directly impact our operational excellence and employee satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Coordinate with local high schools, trade schools, colleges and staffing firms, to build mutually beneficial relationships within the community ensuring a strong applicant pool moving into the future.
- Maintain a positive company image to the employee population, customer and the public.
- Administer onboarding programs for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
- Assist the Training Coordinator when needed with training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Work with Corporate HR to conduct Supervisor training sessions.
- Support employee relations by addressing inquiries, facilitating conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment; working in tandem with Corporate HR.
- Plan and coordinate employee recognition and team building events to elevate workforce moral.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Equivalent work experience in related field and industry will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Expected to report to plant daily to maintain relationship with workforce spanning across multiple shifts as well as our training facility where orientation and training will take place.
- This is NOT a hybrid or work from home role.
- Quarterly travel to corporate office in Ann Arbor Michigan required.
