Project Manager/Field Technician– CNC Systems and metal forming
Based in East Central Illinois | ~50% Travel | Full-Time
We’re looking for a Project Manage/Field Technician to join our team at our Illinois manufacturing facility, where we build precision CNC profiling tables
This is a hands-on technical role with clear opportunities to grow into a leadership position
Requirements;
* Electro-mechanical knowledge ( ladder circuitry, motor control, PLC... CNC)
* Basic mechanical aptitude
* Able and willing to assist in project management, including parts procurement, mechanical machine design, control circuitry design, some hands on wiring and mechanical assembly/testing and QC
* Part time Field Technician duties to include regional domestic with occasional international travel.
* Technical phone support frequently required
* Sales support, assisting sales team with technical support
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of CNC table product line, monitoring production scheduling, QC, wiring testing, training and design changes
- Manage projects from build through installation, coordinating with our internal manufacturing, sales and service team
- Travel to customer sites (~50% of the time) to supervise install troubleshoot and train users of our CNC machines
- Work closely with the Service Manager to learn, support, and eventually lead key technical functions
- Ensure quality, safety, and customer satisfaction at every stage
