Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Santa Clara, CA. The Plating Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining plating equipment, preparing parts for plating, ensuring proper application of plating materials, and monitoring bath quality to maintain consistent standards. The role requires precise execution of procedures, detailed record-keeping, equipment inspections, and adherence to safety and quality protocols. Collaboration with the engineering team and troubleshooting plating processes are key aspects of the role.
Qualifications
- Experience with plating processes, equipment operation, and bath maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and experience in inspection for quality assurance
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate documentation
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper handling of materials used in industrial plating
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting equipment or processes
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or experience in a manufacturing or plating environment is a plus
- Prior experience in aerospace or a related industry is advantageous but not mandatory
