In addition, this position will successfully support and coordinate activities and resources necessary to identify and develop robust, cost effective processes necessary to scale-up and transition new products and line extensions into manufacturing. Also, lead and implement process improvement and capital projects of varying degrees of complexity. The successful candidate will have the ability to support flexible hours with excellent communication and analytical skills. Understanding of SPC, process control and statistical analysis is also required.

Key Responsibilities

·        Provide sustaining engineering support for the existing product lines including initiating and implementation of process improvements for all areas of the plant operations. This includes improvements in safety, quality, productivity and costs.

·        Support and coordinate activities to identify and develop robust, cost effective processes to scale-up and transition new products and line extensions into manufacturing. Conduct process development work to transition products and processes from lab-scale / pilot reactors to high volume manufacturing systems.

·        Define process parameters and develop manufacturing instructions and standard operating procedures.

·        Identify and execute capital projects of varying degrees of complexity.

·        Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Manufacturing Instructions.

·        Encourage, support and lead Six Sigma projects across the site.

·        Be able to support flexible hours.

This position will have the responsibility of managing multiple projects simultaneously. We are seeking a self-motivated individual capable of working both independently and with others.
