Job Summary
Prodigy Prep Preschool is an elementary prep preschool with a student first approach. Our substitute is a dynamic, flexible role designed to support students and teachers to ensure that students receive consistent, high-quality educational experiences. The substitute provides coverage for absent teachers, offers assistance in various classrooms, and supports the learning and development of students in a variety of age groups. This position requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a passion for working with children.
Responsibilities:
- Implement daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Help manage classroom behavior by reinforcing classroom rules and expectations.
- Support the preparation of instructional materials and resources.
- Supervise students during various activities, including recess.
- Step into classrooms of different grade levels or subjects as needed to provide coverage for teachers on leave or during planning times.
- Help maintain a consistent routine and structure when filling in for absent staff members.
- Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and work with diverse student populations.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff to create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Assist in the maintenance of a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Monitor student behavior and support positive discipline strategies.
- Ensure that the classroom is organized and materials are readily available.
- The Assistant Teacher Floater may be required to work a flexible schedule.
Qualifications:
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certified (fully in person course)
- Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Enhanced Background Check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
