End User & Desktop Engineering Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced End User & Desktop Engineering Manager to lead desktop support operations, endpoint engineering, and user-facing infrastructure initiatives across enterprise environments. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership responsibilities and requires experience supporting both modern Windows platforms and legacy systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in endpoint management, Active Directory administration, identity and access management, Windows deployment strategies, and enterprise desktop operations. This individual will also serve as a senior escalation point for complex endpoint and infrastructure issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage desktop support and endpoint engineering teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee deployment, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management of Windows endpoints.
- Manage Active Directory environments including Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Organizational Units (OUs), and user access controls.
- Administer identity and access management processes to maintain secure and compliant access.
- Serve as Tier-3 escalation support for complex desktop and endpoint-related issues.
- Support and maintain legacy Windows XP/7 systems through secure isolation and operational controls.
- Develop migration and modernization strategies for legacy endpoint environments.
- Manage endpoint compliance, patch management, device security, and software deployment processes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to improve endpoint stability and security posture.
- Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and endpoint standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in desktop support, endpoint engineering, or end-user computing environments.
- 2 years of leadership, lead, or management experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Active Directory
- Group Policy (GPO)
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Windows 10/11 administration
- Legacy Windows XP/7 environments
- Experience with endpoint management tools such as:
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Experience with software deployment, patch management, and endpoint security.
- Strong troubleshooting and Tier-3 support capabilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, or enterprise operational environments.
- Knowledge of endpoint security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell.
- Experience supporting hybrid or enterprise-scale environments.
