AI Patent Attorney - Mid Level Associate

Procopio is seeking to hire a mid-level Patent Attorney to join our highly-skilled and growing Intellectual Property Team in any of our offices, with Silicon Valley as the preference. Eligible candidates will have at least 3-6 years of significant experience in Patent Preparation and Prosecution work, with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence, software-related inventions, and subject matter eligibility (§101) issues. Candidates must have a bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline that provides a strong foundation in software and AI technologies.

This position requires both California state bar admission and USPTO bar admission. Candidates will be expected to work effectively in a team-oriented culture and with professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly. Typical salary range is from $175,000 to $230,000 base depending on experience. In addition, this role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, bringing the possible total compensation range to $210,000-$275,000 annually.
