QC Microbiology Associate - Contract - Rockville, MD

Proclinical is seeking a QC Microbiology Associate to join a dynamic team in MD, US. This position focuses on ensuring compliance with industry standards and contributing to the production of high-quality gene therapy products.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support quality control activities by performing microbiological testing and sampling in a cGMP environment.
Skills & Requirements:
- High school diploma required; a BA/BS in a scientific field is preferred.
- Experience with microbial assays, including bioburden, endotoxin, TOC, and environmental monitoring.
- Hands-on experience conducting sampling and testing in a cGMP environment.
- Background in industrial microbiology with expertise in at least one area of microbiology testing.
The QC Microbiology Associate's responsibilities will be:
- Collect and/or test GMP samples.
- Perform general laboratory housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Execute microbial assays, such as bioburden and endotoxin testing.
- Review paperwork, enter data, and manage filing tasks.
- Generate data reports and/or identify trends.
- Provide testing support for team projects as needed.
- Identify areas for improvement or process gaps within the lab.
- Communicate issues or challenges effectively to the team lead or manager.
