Proclinical is seeking an Expression Scientist to join a dynamic team focused on recombinant protein expression and purification. The position requires expertise in mammalian and insect cell systems, with additional experience in E. coli protein expression and purification, considered a plus. Competency in sterile cell culture techniques is essential, and strong organizational and communication skills are highly valued.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support early discovery efforts by delivering high-quality protein reagents for molecular discovery campaigns and structural studies.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in biochemistry or a related field.
- Prior experience with mammalian and/or insect cell culture and sterile techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform background research to understand assigned tasks.
- Beneficial but not required: experience with E. coli expression and recombinant protein purification.
The Expression Scientist's responsibilities will be:
- Perform recombinant protein expression using mammalian and insect cell systems.
- Maintain sterile cell culture techniques to ensure quality and reproducibility.
- Collaborate with the Protein Sciences team to deliver protein reagents for discovery campaigns.
- Keep detailed records of experiments and results.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Manage tasks efficiently and complete assignments in a timely manner.
