Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or confusion, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
Experience
- Prior experience working in home health, group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is a plus but not required.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is required; can be completed within the company at hire.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams are necessary for delivering exceptional care.
