Position Overview:
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for customers and patients entering the dispensary. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional, and compliant front-desk experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, knowledgeable about cannabis culture and compliance, and able to handle sensitive customer information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in all customers and patients in a professional, courteous manner.
- Verify valid identification and medical cards (if applicable) according to state regulations.
- Maintain accurate visitor logs and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Manage the lobby area — keeping it clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with customer inquiries.
- Support budtenders and management with administrative tasks as needed.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient service and minimize wait times.
- Maintain confidentiality of all customer and business information.
- Communicate dispensary policies, promotions, and procedures clearly and positively.
- Assist with appointment scheduling, product information, and general guidance.
Work Environment:
- Professional retail dispensary setting.
- Frequent interaction with customers, staff, and security personnel.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
