POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk, reporting to the Billing Manager, is a key member of the Accounting and Finance group. This position is accountable for the timely and accurate issuance of customer invoicing, payment collection, and account reconciliation efforts. Must be able to interface with company sales team members and external customers to obtain information required for billing and collections.
RESPONSIBILITIES& EXPECTATIONS:
1. Billing
• Manages relationships with customers and functions as the primary contact for billing inquiries.
• Proactively monitor assigned customers aging and coordinate with customer accounts payable to ensure timely payments.
• Apply daily customer payments and credits against customer invoices.
• Prepare manufacturing customer invoices after thorough review of all pertinent sales documents.
• Lead the collection effort on behalf of the billing team via email and phone communication.
• Research, resolve, and respond to customer billing inquiries.
• Maintain all customer related documents.
• Review and process freight invoices into Accounts Payable
• Facilitate the onboarding of new customers.
• Assist and participate in the identification of process improvements.
ATTRIBUTES:
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP System preferred
• Experienced in MS Excel & Word
• Must be able to communicate respectfully and proactively to all levels of the organization as well as with the customer
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to perform high work volume with minimal errors and supervision
• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and customer transactions
• Must be proactive, self-motivated, detail oriented and reliable
• Must have the ability to multitask and work independently, as well as in a team environment
