The Manufacturing Shipper/Assembler hybrid position is part of the Logistics & Production Teams. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position. This role will initially work within Logistics and then transfer to Assembly. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following:
Shipping
- Ensures that all incoming materials, parts, or products are accurately received, verified, and recorded in inventory systems.
- Detects and reports discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods, enabling timely resolution and minimizing disruption to production or order fulfillment.
- Confirms that the goods received meet quality standards and match purchase orders and supplier documentation.
- Prepares and stages outgoing shipments with a strong emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and packaging integrity.
- Generates and verifies shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs paperwork), ensuring compliance with carrier and regulatory standards.
- Minimize delivery errors and delays, enhance customer satisfaction, and support service-level commitments.
- Review and retrieve required inventory parts on schematics, drawings or work instructions.
- Perform simple to complex assembly operations.
- Test and inspect product to ensure specifications are met.
- Report any deficiency to the Department
- Follow department processes to ensure ISO compliance.
- Possess some electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to use small hand tools including but not limited to cutters, strippers, crimpers and screwdrivers.
- Ability to use basic judgment in quality analysis and communicate with Department Lead any discrepancies.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve workplace environment and safety conditions.
- Maintain clean, neat, safe and orderly work area.
- Attend work regularly and promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
- Attend and participate in all required training.
- Attend and participate in all departmental meetings.
- Other essential duties as assigned.
- Upholds all safety procedures and OSHA compliance standards, reducing incidents and supporting a safe work environment.
- Handles hazardous or sensitive materials according to regulatory guidelines when applicable.
- Continuously looking for process improvements to enhance speed, reduce waste, and support lean warehouse operations.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Basic math skills
- Able to use small hand tools.
- Adheres to quality standard and safety standards
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, machinery, tools, and quality control procedures.
- Physical ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Able to read diagrams, and understand basic electrical and mechanical concepts
