The Quality Manager position is part of the Quality Team. This is a full-time, exempt position, located in our Mentor, Ohio office. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Including, but not limited to these functionalities:
Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Business, Engineering, or related field required. Three to seven years’ experience of quality related management required. Three or more years’ experience of leading, managing and developing a team in a manufacturing environment is required. Five or more years’ experience in designing, implementing and maintaining ISO quality systems. Experience overseeing a multi-site QMS is preferred. Understanding of process of record or other customer prescribed quality requirements such as in the aerospace or automotive industry Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentation. Significant understanding of project management techniques. Soft Skills

Role Responsibilities

- Initiate and implement quality improvement and product/process standardization activities to ensure the performance of manufacturing and the organization’s product.
- Continually improve and maintain the company quality assurance system and team in such a way that they positively impact the performance of the organization.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the Quality operations of the organization. Communicates system changes or impacts to the Company.
The Quality Manager position is part of the Quality Team. This is a full-time, exempt position, located in our Mentor, Ohio office. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Including, but not limited to these functionalities:
- Institute and maintain best practices of quality management for all Process Technology facilities
- Directly manage quality team including inspectors, engineers, and return technicians.
- Own the development, implementation, management and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) certification, in alignment with ISO 9001 certification and customer requirements
- Ensure implementation of QMS documents, including quality manual, policies, quality assurance procedures, process flows, work instructions, and forms, in alignment with the harmonized QMS
- Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer
- Manage the non-conforming material and Corrective/Preventative Action processes that perform root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective and/or preventative actions and process improvements
- Participate in preparing and conducting regular supplier performance evaluations.
- Work with Sales/Marketing on driving improvement in complaint investigation and RMA process, arriving at corrective action and root cause and getting to systemic fix
- Oversee and participate in all external audits (registrar, supplier, and customer). Conduct internal audits to schedule
- Ensure establishment and implementation of required calibration programming
- Assist with or manage policy deployment in the areas of quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, plant performance measures and continuous improvement in all areas of the Company.
- Establish analysis of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality. Identify and lead improvement initiatives to reduce defects.
- Interface with supplier and quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective corrective action is implemented
- Perform regular staff performance evaluations, approve compensation levels and ensure employee development
- Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
- Adhere to ISO process flows
- Other essential duties as assigned.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Business, Engineering, or related field required.
- Experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

- Cloud Suite Industrial
- Fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Requires working closely with production and engineering teams on-site.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 30% annually.
