What We’re Looking For:
- Active North Carolina licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Endorsement
- Experience working with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System)
- Demonstrated expertise in adapting curriculum and classroom materials to meet individualized learning plans
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for teaming with educators, families, and related service professionals
- Flexibility to work full time or part time during the 2026–2027 school year
What You’ll Do:
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized educational programs tailored for students with visual impairments in a school-based environment
- Conduct O&M assessments and provide direct instruction to encourage independence and safety
- Consult with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt instructional materials and ensure accessibility
- Contribute to IEP meetings, documentation, and progress reports using ECATS
- Serve as an advocate and resource for students and families navigating educational support systems
