Qualifications:

• Valid TN Deaf Education Endorsement required
• Demonstrated expertise teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills
• Experience implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting curriculum
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible classroom environments

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction and support for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families to promote student progress
• Develop and monitor goals, accommodations, and modifications as outlined in IEPs
• Utilize a variety of communication techniques, including American Sign Language (ASL) as needed
• Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on student development
• Serve as a resource to the school community on matters related to deafness and hearing loss
