Qualifications:
- Valid and active state licensure for teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
- Strong knowledge of current instructional strategies for D/HH students
- Prior experience in educational settings, especially with itinerant caseloads, is highly valued
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to inclusive education and advocacy for student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments in a variety of school environments
- Travel between different school sites as part of an itinerant schedule
- Consult with classroom teachers, administrators, and other service providers to ensure inclusive learning
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and services provided
- Support families and empower them as partners in their child’s education
