This opportunity is for a skilled Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to provide specialized educational support within a school setting in Fort Worth, TX. The contract position involves working directly on-site at one campus, serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade. The role is designed for a professional with a strong background in deaf education and the necessary Texas certification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments for students with hearing impairments
- Attending Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to collaborate on individualized education plans
- Reading and interpreting audiograms to monitor student hearing needs
- Managing a caseload of students from PreK to 6th grade, supporting their academic and social development
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Active Texas Deaf/Hard of Hearing teaching license required
- Experience working in Texas school settings preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload and provide tailored instructional strategies
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and the educational team
Schedule and location details:
- Full-time or part-time availability, with 21-35 hours per week
- Minimum commitment of 3 days per week, 7 hours per day
