Step into a rewarding role supporting students across a K-12 setting as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in the Gettysburg, PA area. This is a contract position requiring a dedicated presence onsite at the Franklin Learning Center throughout the school year, starting August 17, 2026, and ending May 28, 2027. You'll be delivering essential speech and language services to students, helping them reach their full academic and communication potential.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist Certification
- Active PA teaching certification (must be provided upfront with your resume)
- Completed Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working in a school-based SLP position preferred
- Ability to support students in grades K-12
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to onsite work as remote services are not available for this role
Position Details & Responsibilities:
- Full-time schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Work with students individually and in groups to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Provide speech and language screenings, evaluations, and therapy as outlined by student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of services provided
