Make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide on-site direct services in a supportive educational environment, with flexibility for either full-time or part-time work to suit your needs.
Ideal candidates will bring expertise in working with a diverse student body, including those with a range of communication needs—from simple articulation issues to non-verbal students utilizing augmentative communication devices. Desired Background and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Maine state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech and Hearing Clinician Certificate K–12 (293)
- Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance
- Experience with students across exceptionalities
- Proficiency in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders
- Implement treatments tailored to individual student needs
- Maintain comprehensive records of student progress
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and partner with educational teams on student support plans
- Stay engaged with current best practices in the field
