Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Round Lake, IL Several Positions Available
Schedule: Full-Time | 20252026 School Year
Overview:
Were hiring passionate Special Education Teachers for the 20252026 academic year. In this role, youll partner with students, families, and staff to provide individualized learning experiences that support both academic success and personal growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
Create and implement customized Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with each students specific needs.
Integrate a range of teaching strategies and educational technologies to make learning accessible and engaging.
Track student development through regular assessments and modify instruction accordingly.
Keep consistent communication with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and next steps.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Special Education or a closely related field (Masters degree is a plus).
Current Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1 or LBSII certification.
Strong understanding of IEP creation, delivery, and compliance.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience using assistive and adaptive educational technologies.
Skilled in managing classroom behaviors using evidence-based approaches.
Team-oriented with excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
