Make a difference in the lives of elementary students by stepping into a Special Education teaching role this fall and winter. This is a contract opportunity, covering a maternity leave from early November through late January, serving students in both 1st and 4th grade with a primary-level Structured Learning Center (SLC) caseload. The assignment is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 3 pm, near Woodinville, WA.
What You'll Need:
- Active and valid special education teaching license
- Previous experience in a special education classroom setting is highly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, families, and support professionals
- Strong organizational skills and a compassionate, student-centered approach
What You'll Do:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to meet IEP goals for students in 1st and 4th grades
- Develop engaging lesson plans, adapt instructional materials, and ensure compliance with IEP requirements
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
- Collaborate with families, specialists, and classroom staff to support individual needs
- Record and report on student progress toward educational objectives
