This assignment spans from August 18, 2026, through June 10, 2027, and focuses on providing specialized instruction to students with a range of mild-to-moderate disabilities. Using the cross-categorical model, you will create inclusive learning experiences for learners with various needs—including those navigating learning disabilities, emotional behavior disorders, and autism spectrum disorder.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801)
- Demonstrated experience working with students on the autism spectrum
- Background in serving middle and/or high school populations
- Strong ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learning styles
- Collaborative team player skilled at working with educators, families, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction in small group and inclusive classroom settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Foster a supportive, respectful, and structured classroom environment conducive to learning for all students
- Communicate regularly with families and team members regarding student progress
