Bring your expertise in special education to a supportive school environment located close to Jaffrey, NH. This contract opportunity runs from August 21, 2026, through June 14, 2027, and offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule (7:15 AM–2:35 PM), totaling 35 hours each week. You will primarily serve students in grades 2–6 at a welcoming site, working with a manageable caseload of approximately 20–24 students with diverse needs—including those identified with Specific Learning Disability (SLD), Speech/Language Impairment (SLI), and Other Health Impairment (OHI).
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Proven experience, or strong readiness, to serve elementary-aged learners (grades 2–6 preferred)
- Familiarity with IEP development, case management, and leading IEP meetings
- Skill in differentiating instruction for reading, writing, math, and executive functioning
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Comfort working with parents, general education teachers, and related service providers
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with IEP goals in core academic and executive functioning areas
- Serve as case manager for a diverse caseload; organize and lead IEP meetings with support
- Complete and update required special education documentation accurately and on time
- Engage fully in grade-level Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and collaborative team meetings
- Foster strong partnerships with families to support student growth
