Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
- Experience teaching in special education settings, particularly life skills classrooms

- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adapt instruction as needed
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized lesson plans for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate closely with other special education staff, classroom teachers, related services providers, and families
- Assess and monitor student progress, adapting instruction and supports as necessary
- Create a nurturing, structured, and safe classroom for all students
- Guide students in the development of essential skills for academic, social, and daily living success
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, staff collaboration, and professional development
This position offers a consistent, full-time schedule during the school year, with 35 hours per week, entirely onsite. You’ll be an important part of an elementary special education team, receiving ongoing support and opportunities for growth.
