A Special Education Teacher position is available for a middle school resource setting in Danbury, CT. This onsite role offers a contract commitment from ASAP through May 22, 2026, with part-time hours ranging from 30 to 32.5 per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in a middle school resource classroom
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment tailored to individual student needs
Qualifications:
- Current Connecticut Educator Certification with a Special Education endorsement is required
- Experience working with middle school students in a resource or inclusive setting
