Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language
• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school or educational setting
• Comfort in providing communication services for students with varying physical and academic needs
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to an evolving classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-person sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, activities, and therapies for a high school student in an adaptive classroom
• Provide comprehensive communication access and support, ensuring equitable participation and understanding for the student
• Collaborate with special education teachers, aides, and related service providers in an onsite team environment
• Adapt to student needs as they are clarified, including possible 1:1 interpreting responsibilities
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to educational best practices

This is a full-time, onsite contract role with consistent weekday hours throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
