Make a difference as a contract Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) supporting K–5th grade students at three elementary campuses in a vibrant school district near Mobile, AL. This school-based opportunity offers a blend of on-site and VOCO assignments, providing flexibility and hands-on experience across diverse educational settings. The assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour workweek.
Preferred Experience and Credentials:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Registered and in good standing with the Board of Speech Examiners; current licensure required
- Previous experience in a school setting working with elementary-aged children (K–5th grade) preferred
- Comfortable providing services on-site and/or virtually (VOCO platform)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary educational team
- Must be able to present valid licensure documentation as part of credentialing
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to assigned students at Holloway Elementary, Dawes Intermediate, and Semmes Elementary
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and ongoing assessments to determine student needs
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of services, progress, and communications
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development
