School Psychologist in Paterson, NJ

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1 years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive psychological services within a K-8 school district located in Paterson, NJ. The role is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This contract position operates Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across kindergarten through 8th grade.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop individualized educational plans and interventions.
• Provide counseling and support to students to address behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and services provided, adhering to confidentiality standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
• Experience working with school-aged children in K-8 settings.
• Strong knowledge of educational psychology principles and assessment tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
• Ability to manage various cases and work independently within a school environment.
