This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive psychological services within a K-8 school district located in Paterson, NJ. The role is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This contract position operates Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across kindergarten through 8th grade.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop individualized educational plans and interventions.
- Provide counseling and support to students to address behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and services provided, adhering to confidentiality standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with school-aged children in K-8 settings.
- Strong knowledge of educational psychology principles and assessment tools.
