Located in the vibrant Northern suburbs of Denver, this opportunity offers the chance to serve a diverse student population within a smaller school district of 16 sites and approximately 7,000 students. This role is suited for passionate school psychologists who are either new graduates or experienced professionals, with a focus on supporting students in Pre-K through 8th grade.
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive psychological assessments, delivering counseling services, and collaborating closely with IEP teams to meet individualized student needs. As a case manager within the district, you will be responsible for overseeing IEP development and implementation, ensuring monthly IEP minutes are met for a caseload primarily consisting of mild to moderate students, including some Pre-K students.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Holding Colorado Department of Education (CDE) credentials, or actively in the process of obtaining them, with transparency on your progress.
- Strong knowledge of mild to moderate disabilities and experience working with Pre-K to 8th-grade students.
- Proven skills in conducting assessments, evaluations, counseling, and IEP case management.
- A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with school teams and families.
- Willingness to participate in the districts two-step interview process, including a video screening and a panel interview (in-person or remote flexibility available).
- Open to candidates currently relocating, with clear communication about relocation status.
Location: Aurora and nearby Thornton, Colorado (with primary site at Meadow Community School).
