Qualifications/Degree Requirements:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current and valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist in Michigan
- Experience administering and interpreting psychoeducational assessments
- Strong understanding of behavioral, academic, and social-emotional interventions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify student strengths and needs
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to create and implement effective intervention plans
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs, Section 504 plans, and behavior intervention strategies
- Deliver professional development and consultation for school staff regarding mental health, learning, and behavior
- Maintain detailed and confidential student records according to state and federal guidelines
