Step into a rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist contract opportunity serving K-12 students for the 2026/2027 school year, located in the beautiful area near North Adams, MA. This engaging position offers the chance to make a significant impact supporting a diverse group of students, with a manageable caseload of around 65 individuals working across various grade levels.
Your expertise will be valued as you deliver direct speech and language services, collaborate with teachers and families, and help students develop essential communication skills. The school day varies depending on your assignment: elementary hours run from 8:20 AM – 3:00 PM, and high school hours from 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM, providing flexibility to fit your professional lifestyle.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience with K-12 populations, including IEP development and progress monitoring
- Effective communication skills for working with students, parents, and educational teams
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ educational goals
- Monitor and document student progress, participating in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximize educational outcomes
- Provide consultative support and resources to staff and families
